Our history as a producer of machines for saw blade manufacturing dates back more than 70 years.
In the early 1930s a saw blade factory was established in Orsa by the inventor Eric Timander, backed by a group of local businessmen. Over the years Eric and his sons supplied machines to the factory from the family run mechanical workshop. Among the machines developed was an automatic sharpening machine for bow-saw blades. Modern versions of this machine are still manufactured.
In 1992, the company was sold to Christer Kärrberg, one of the employees. The name was subsequently changed to CK Teknik AB. Since 2004 we are operating under the name Deventech AB.
Today, our commitment to the saw blade industry is as strong as ever. Our goal is to continuously develop new and innovative manufacturing solutions for the whole chain from strip steel to assembled and labelled saws.
We operate out of two locations. Our original office and workshop is located in Orsa. A second office and workshop which opened in 2006 is located in Tullinge, just south of Stockholm.
